The Love Is Not Abuse Coalition is a growing national grassroots coalition of parents, teachers and ANYONE advocating for teen dating abuse education in every middle school, high school and college in the country.

Take Action: The Coalition offers many levels of involvement and it’s up to you how engaged you would like be. Sign the petition to show support in your state and to become a member, then download resources to contact your schools and legislators. Here are simple steps you can take:

  1. Sign the petition to encourage and support education in your state
  2. While completing the petition, opt-in to become a member – you will receive monthly email updates of state progress and member achievements
  3. Download template letters, statistics and fact sheets from the Toolkit Section
  4. Request the curriculum and introduce it to your local school
  5. Stay connected with the Coalition community on Facebook and Twitter

In the State of California SB 1300 also known as Correa’s Bill on Teen Dating Violence Education and Prevention has been at the center of debate. I reported in the Examiner on its Clearing the Senate back in June. And then again at the end of June just before it went before the Assembly. It is currently pending.
